Conference Speakers

Derek Carlsen was born in Rhodesia where he lived until the name changed to Zimbabwe and where he continued to live until he was called to pastor in the USA in 2003. He served as a pastor in Zimbabwe for ten years and was also involved in running a Christian school in that country together with his wife, Elise. Derek and Elise have been blessed with three children. Derek is currently the pastor of Covenant Reformed Church of Elk Grove in Illinois . He holds a Doctorate in Missiology from Whitefield Theological Seminary and has written three commentaries: Grace and Law: Commentary on Galatians; Faith and Courage: Commentary on Acts and That You May Believe: Commentary on John’s Gospel.


Wayne Christensen  is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and currently is pursuing a doctoral degree at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi. He has been the pastor of Fox Lake Community Church, since 1998. FLCC is a family-integrated church committed to multi-generational faithfulness, the biblical exposition of God's Word, and the Reformed faith. Wayne's first book The Way of Wisdom, Proverbs: A Handbook for Rearing Wise Sons (and Daughters)  was released last summer. He and his wife, Michele, have been blessed with five children, Jacqueline, James, Lydia Joy, Caleb, and Zachariah.

Calvin Lindstrom has served for over 5 years as the pastor of the Church of Christian Liberty in Arlington Heights, IL. Previous to this, he taught math, science, philosophy, and worldviews at Christian Liberty Academy. Calvin's father was one of the pioneers of the home schooling movement and the founding pastor of the Church of Christian Liberty. Calvin has been blessed with a godly wife, Rebekah, and three young children, Ethan, Annika, and Micaiah.   
Gregory S. Athnos retired professor from North Park University in Chicago, has traveled to Athens, Rome, and throughout the Middle East studying the Art of the early Christians. He has done extensive research in the Archives of the Catacombs in Rome, discovering there a powerful theme of life and deliverance, leading him to a reassessment of the relationship between the death and resurrection of Jesus. Mr. Athnos has spoken on the subject, “The Easter Jesus and the Good Friday Church” over 350 times across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Japan, in seminaries, colleges, churches, and conference centers. His teaching has elicited enthusiastic response from both laypersons and clergy. Mr. Athnos is the author of two recent books on this subject
